Christmas at the Barn Stall Holders Part II


ROLL UP, ROLL UP look who is coming to Christmas at the Barn Sat 28th & Sun 29th November 2015… Part II

Christmas at the Barn 2015 is a 2 day celebration of the festive season & beautiful, locally handmade unique items which are guaranteed to make perfect gifts this Christmas. 


Preparations are well underway for this years event.  All 21 stalls on both days of the event have been carefully selected and curated to guarantee that you will find some truly unique, beautiful gifts for friends and family. 


Christmas at the Barn 2015 is going to be BIGGER, BETTER & EVEN MORE PACKED with festive loveliness (impossible I hear you cry!)

Somerset Feather Company
The Somerset Feather company uses locally sourced, sustainable feathers from country estates within Somerset to product individual, stunning and contemporary products. Emma will be selling her beautiful wreaths, pictures and accessories on Saturday 28th.

Knapps Farm Alpacas
Based in Doulting Tracey will be selling her range of 100% pure Somerset Aplaca woollen.  The wool is from her own herd of Alpacas at her home Knapps Farm. How cool is that to harvest the wool from your own Alpacas!  Alpaca wool is beautifully soft and 100% natural. The items for sale will include: hats, scarves, gloves & baby booties. We are hoping Tracey will bring one of her alpacas along too!

Innox Hill Potters
Tim Rose will be selling his beautiful handcrafted range of stoneware domestic pottery along with sculptural pieces and prints of his stunning etchings.

Melting Pot Glass Art
Sally of Melting Pot Glass Art is based in Martock, Somerset. Sally will be selling her beautiful range of fused glass jewellery, hangings, Christmas decorations, bowls, decorative glass panels and coasters.

Jinny Wessel Leather
Jinny will be selling her stunning range of handmade, hand sewn vegetable tanned leather items. Jinny's items are breathtakingly beautiful. They will make perfect gifts or a treat to treasure for yourself.  




As the Crow Flies
Bristol based Bee will be selling her beautiful range of handmade ceramics and illustrated homewares. Bee hand produces her items from original illustrations, adding these to delicate porcelain, traditional earthenware slip products, fine bone china products and screen printed tea towels.



Julia Blaker
Local Artist Julia's studio is based in the Silk Mill, Frome. Julia will be exhibiting at Christmas at the Barn on Sunday 29th November. She will be selling her wonderful range of prints and cards featuring local scenes. We love the print of the Tithe Barn, Mells which is home to Christmas a the Barn.  Julia will be sharing her stall with Green Gecko Designs who will be selling their range of crochet scarves and hats. 



MUD DOG
Salisbury based Vics will be selling her beautifully handcrafted tweed scarves, key rings,  & dog bandanas (modelled here by the lovely Spike). She will also have a range of lampshades and other homewares available. 



Pickle-Lily
The lovely Jo from Pickle-Lily will be selling her cute range of handcrafted felt Christmas Decorations, toys, craft kits & accessories. Jo is an old friend of Christmas at the Barn, we haven't seen her for a couple of years so it will be wonderful to welcome her back.




GOTHIC MIRRORS
Wells based Kate will be selling her stunning range of individually handmade gothic style mirrors. Each mirror is individually hand crafted from a variety of lovely words, with vintage hooks & hinges added. 




Pukka Jewels
Radstock based Sarah will be selling her range of laser cut wood and acrylic jewellery and accessories. Her range makes perfect Christmas presents and self gifts too.



Other locally based hand crafted stalls without websites include:  Silk Scarves painted by Sue, The Tuesday Group collective, with a range of knitted and cross stitched items, James & Lee-anne with a range of up cycled homewares and accessories

And this year the proceeds from Christmas at the Barn's charity raffle go to…...

We are delighted to confirm that the 100% of the proceeds from the charity raffle at Christmas at the Barn 2015 are going to a local Brownie Guide Group.

Brown Owl and her happy little Brownie helpers from Holcombe Brownie Pack are excited to be selling raffle tickets on both the Saturday and Sunday.

The raffle will raise funds for their group as well as promoting & recruiting Brownies to join their wonderful, fun, adventure filled group which takes place at Holcombe Village Hall on a Monday evening between 6pm & 7.30pm.

Since the first Christmas at the Barn in 2010 we are proud to say that the event has raised £3500 for local charities.

You are in for a treat at this Christmas at the Barn 2015. In addition to all of the loveliness to be found inside the Barn at Christmas at the Barn 2015 Tessa Farrington from Farrington Flowers will be selling her wreaths & festive garlands outside the Barn on Sunday 29th November.


Kirstie's Allsorts
Kirstie's Allsorts is a textile accessories company from Bruton. From her home Kirstie creates stunningly beautiful handmade gifts and homewares using quality linens and cottons. Each of her designs is inspired by everyday life from a little garden bird to a welcoming cup of tea or old pair of wellies. Hembridge Organics
The super lovely & unquestionably delicious Hembridge Organics from East Pennard will be a Christmas at the Barn 2015 for the first time selling the delicious range or jams, chutneys & preserves. Tea Green Bags
Accessory-alohics beware! We are so very excited to welcome Tea Green to Christmas at the Barn 2015. Frances Bayliss designs a stunningly beautiful range of simple, distinctive bags, purses and accessories. The designs are causal & elegant whilst being very practical. The range is made in the Britain from quality leathers and natural fabrics. Shepton based milliner Liz Olivia will be bringing along her stunning range of hats & head ware. Seriously stylish, practical  & beautifully made your head will thanks you all winter  when you wear one of her hats. Liz’s hats make great gifts too.

Milly and Me will be selling their range of super cute handmade textile critters, gifts, home decor & Christmas decorations.



Huckvales
Back for their second year Huckvale's is a mother and daughter team producing handmade items such as lampshades and Christmas decorations. They also sell knitted goods including scarves, tote bags, cushions and table decorations which feature unique Christmas designs embellished with beads. They offer beautiful gift wrapping of your purchases too which is a fab added treat. We look forward to welcoming you back ladies x






Tina Seviour Jewellery
Somerset based jewellery designer Tina Seviour is returning to Christmas at the Barn for a fourth year. Tina’s pieces are often beautiful ‘one-offs’ made predominately from recycled silver. www.tinaseviourjewellery.co.uk







Mary McQuillian 
Illustrator Mary McQuillian will be selling her delightful range of painted houses and illustrations. Mary is a super talented illustrator and has illustrated a mountain of children's books. Along with illustrating Mary is a member of the Edamay team working on our popular range of personalised key rings and Christmas decorations. 




Jo Lucksted
Shepton Mallet based Ceramic artist Jo will selling her beautiful range of ceramic buttons, bowls and angels. She will also be selling a range of Union Jack themed cushions & wall hangings. In addition to all of this there will be fresh, home-baked cakes, soups and refreshments served all day. Along with lashings of mulled wine & mince pies.

Activities to entertain the children whilst you shop will also be available with a Christmas-Picture colouring in section,  lucky dip & a charity raffle.  Make sure you put the date in your diary & we will see you on the 28th & 29th November 2015!

A weekend bursting with festive loveliness. Christmas at the Barn 2015 will showcase a wonderfully curated collection 20 local artisan stalls. The items on sale will include: handmade gifts, accessories, hats, scarves, wreaths, preserves, cards, paintings, ceramics, plants and much, much more.

We can't wait to welcome you to the back to the Barn and kick start your Christmas 2015 in style!

Thank you all so very much. See you in 2015!

Wow - 'thank you' to all of the lovely stall holders with their super beautiful creations. Thank you to the cafe with all the yummy food, mulled wine, cakes & drinks. Thank you to all of the lovely customers who came to the event. Thank you to Sam Evans for the amazing acoustic session. Thank you to the weather for being amazingly sunny. Thank you to the robin that popped into say hello. Thank you to all who brought a raffle ticket and helped raise £340 for the community cafe which will go towards a new freezer. Thank you ALL for making Christmas at the Barn 2014 such an amazing success. It was great to see you all. The event definitely kicked off the festive season in style & was definitely the best Christmas at the Barn EVER, but now sadly it is back to the studio to make, make, make for the festive season!

Same place, same time in 2015? Put the date in your dairy & we will see you then. HAPPY CHRISTMAS x x x x

Wow what a fab first day of Christmas at the Barn 2014.  Thank you to all of the fabulous stall holders who items were all beautiful. Thank you to all of the lovely customers too who came, saw, brought and left feeling very festive!
